Art is a 30-year plus risk professional, whose risk expertise and experience span industries – from diversified financial and professional services organizations (H&R Block) to global manufacturing (VF Corporation) to human capital resources (Allied Universal).
Art began his career at PMA Insurance, after graduating from Villanova University and has spent time working on the carrier and broker sides of the insurance transaction, and for the last 20 years has developed successful risk management programs as an in-house risk professional for both the public and private sectors companies.
His risk management prowess is not limited to the procurement of insurance. He has built successful Enterprise Risk Management programs at several institutions and was awarded the RIMS Risk Maturity Model Award three years in a row. The award, presented by RIMS, the risk management society™, recognizes individuals and organizations with industry-leading enterprise risk management (ERM) programs. He is often engaged in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities related to risk and insurance programs for target companies, utilizing his experiences and expertise while working on M&A engagements while employed with a large global broker.
He maintains, among many other designations, a CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) and has built and managed effective Business Continuity Programs for organizations to ensure continuity of operations in the event of natural or manmade disasters.
Art also serves on the Delaware Valley Risk & Insurance Managers (RIMS) Board of Directors after having been president for several years and is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph University’s Haub School of Business teaching introductory risk management classes.
